Twenty-six degrees and flat calm while northern Europe is under a cover. Everything here floats: no halls, no carpet, no boats on trailers. If you cannot take it out for an hour, it is not in the show.

There is no separate trade day. Brokers, buyers and owners are all here for the same four days, which is smaller and considerably more useful than the alternative.
Programme
Why come
Twenty-six degrees, flat water and boats that can be taken out. A northern European show in February is a hall full of hulls on stands, which tells you nothing about how any of them behave.
Yards, agents and insurers who actually work east of Suez, rather than European firms with a leaflet about the region. If you keep a boat here, these are the people you will end up ringing.
Four days, everybody together. A separate trade morning sounds professional and mostly produces two thin shows instead of one busy one.
Around sixty exhibitors, not four hundred. You can see all of it properly in a day and a half, which is why people come from Europe for a long weekend rather than a week.
“I looked at four boats in Düsseldorf in January and learned nothing that a brochure would not have told me. Here I was out on three of them in an afternoon in flat water and warm sun, and bought one in the April.”
